The statistics page

This page describes this web-site and also shows the number of times each page has been viewed since March 2004, when statistical monitoring started
The Total number of visitors since then is:

NOTE: pages with a (y) suffix are only available to club members via the "members only" menu.

These values are being continuously updated automatically

This website was originally conceived by Geoff Nunn as a home page for the club during the late nineties, this ran for a few years then Early in the new millennium Dave Daniel set out his idea to produce a much more ambitious web-site and introduced many more pages and features, some of which remain as true cornerstones.
In January 2004, whilst standing on a damp hillside in Devon watching the "Exeter" trial, the two Peters, Cook and Bowler discussed the possibility of expanding this website even further, and after a great deal of discussion Peter Bowler agreed to take the site over and try out some ideas to expand it.
The server has been changed twice since then, each time to take advantage of more powerful technology, for instance this stats page would not be possible without "server-side" software to power the counters, in addition the "Members" pages, and the whole Drawings system could not exist without the power of on line database facilities.
Sadly the Guestbook has had to be removed, it worked very well, but recently a rather sinister phenomenon has emerged where unscrupulous companies send huge amounts of "spam" aimed at all guestbooks, message boards and forums in pursuit of free advertising, this unfortunately resulted in our website being saturated, forcing it to close for 24 hours in mid January.
The Guestbook has been re-launched, but only within the menu on the Homepage under "visitors". also most pages on this website are now in large format and centralised for users with monitors of 1024 pixels and above however software re-directs users with screens of less than that width to an alternative page.
